Through its commercialization continuum, TLA transforms University discoveries into intellectual property, new inventions and novel businesses. A Presidential cabinet-level office, TLA embodies the prioritization of the UA's technology commercialization and industry-sponsored research efforts, moving knowledge and inventions developed by students and faculty into the market. TLA brings together researchers, the business community and the assets of Tech Parks Arizona to significantly enhance the impact of UA research and technological innovation. By 2020, the UA through Tech Launch Arizona aims to become a recognized national resource for its role in integrating UA-created knowledge into solutions for tangible economic and social benefit.
