TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. TEDx Conferences take place in english language, around the world, all year long. At these conferences, the world's most inspired thinkers from all disciplines, share progressive Ideas, mind blowing discoveries, and heart warming stories that engage, inspire, encourage and empower the attendees and online audience - a community of curious souls, our current and future leaders and world changers. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. TED is owned by a nonprofit, nonpartisan foundation. TEDx Mauerpark 2018 will host 100 people from diverse fields, from design, tech and entertainment as well as business, politics, science and the nonprofit world. Also we make much effort ensure to diversify our speakers and audience in ethnicity, age and sex. Our goal is to have about 10% of attendees each year be first-timers. The TEDx audience have understand the impact and see great value in our speakers, events, and work, therefore willingly pay the ticket rate to attend and support TED's free global work.The 2018 TEDx MauerPark Conference in Berlin is facilitated thru and supports the works of the local nonprofit "VJDA". Our agenda is to make great ideas accessible and spark conversation.
