TEDxChania is a Non-Profit Organisation established in 2015. The vision behind TEDxChania is to create a community that questions everything around it, envisions the future in a positive way and more importantly, believes that getting out of the comfort zones is the foundation of success.TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.The TEDx program was designed to enable local groups to monitor and share an experience. The TEDx events are independently organized, under the strict criteria of TED. The authorization of hosting a local TEDx event is granted free from TED.
