TEDxFurmanU is a student-run TEDx event affiliated with Furman University. We held our first conference in 2013 when we invited students, teachers, authors, founders, and creatives to Furman's campus to discuss the theme of "Redesigning Education." On March 2014, we held our second annual conference on the theme of "Stories" at the Peace Center's Gunter Theater in downtown Greenville. Our third year, we brought TEDxFurmanU back to the Furman University campus and explored the theme of "Shatter," opening up our applications to the student body for the first time. In 2016 our theme was "Go Big," and highlighted the some of the biggest and best speakers at the time. In 2017, TEDxFurmanU had its final themed conference, "Uncharted Territory," and transitioned into Younts Conference Center on Furman's campus. In 2018, TEDxFurmanU smashed its previous attendance records and speaker lineup, becoming one of the largest and longest running TEDx University events in the region.
