About TEDx, x=independently organize event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. About TEDxRecife TEDxRecife is a world-class conference about Innovation, Creativity and Ideas based in Recife, Brazil. TEDxRecife is one of the first TEDx events in the northeast of Brazil and the first ever TEDx event in Pernambuco - started in December 2012. Its main goal is to develop and leverage the TED experience at a regional level, uniting innovators, thinkers, inspirational speakers, shakers, makers and breakers. TEDxRecife is curated by Alfredo Júnior and organized by a team of +30 volunteers.
