TED In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations). TEDxSciencesPoParis The TEDxSciencesPoParis' mission, like the TED mission, is to propagate Ideas Worth Spreading; to inform and inspire. Our more specific vision is to make it the Parisian students community's leading platform and pipeline for the propagation of great ideas, storytelling, creativity and actionable innovation to the rest of the world; to create and foster a sense of community amongst the people and organisations who have gathered (and continue to gather) around this event; to provide a cultural focus and impetus for conversation and debate. Smaller Events Aside from our main conference, TEDxSciencesPoParis also facilitates smaller, more frequent events throughout the year, such as our Salons and socials. The TEDx Salon is a periodic gathering of interested individuals to continue the discussion with curated TEDx Talks and live speakers. Our first Salon event will be happening soon -- stay tuned.
