Classes & Courses in Schools-----------------------------------------We currently run Yoga for Teens in secondary schools, sixth form colleges, unis and yoga studios in London. Our experienced, certified yoga teachers are specially trained for KS3 to KS5 . Classes run from 30 minutes to 1 hour. We provide a secular approach and hold a trusted space that allows young people from all faiths to unwind, recharge, and learn new skills. In our classes teens learn to strengthen the body, exploring and increasing their individual range of motion, as well as to focus the mind, allowing for more mental flexibility and balance. They are encouraged to cultivate physical and mental awareness and compassion towards themselves and others.Teacher Training-----------------------A unique, experiential 4-day yoga teacher training course that equips you with the knowledge and skills to confidently teach combined Yoga and Mindfulness to young people from 13 to 19 years. Learn about physical and psychological development based on current research, discuss the benefits of postures, partner work and sequences, learn how to combine yoga with basic mindfulness, explore issues of diversity and challenging behaviour, cultivate your compassion, and gain hands-on teaching experience.This course is unique in its secular and relational approach that enables and empowers both teacher and teenager making it highly relevant for the urban school setting. It will allow you to build on the knowledge and skills you already have and so gain new understandings and experiences that in turn will enrich your teaching.
