Tennis NZ is the national body for tennis in New Zealand. We were one of the founding members of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), and are responsible for the administration and management of tennis in New Zealand. This includes the selection and management of Davis and Billie Jean King Cup teams to represent New Zealand in these annual international competitions. Tennis NZ also holds the rights to the ASB Classic women's professional tournament, held in Auckland each January.Tennis NZ has nearly 400 member clubs and nearly 40,000 individual members. Tennis NZ provides MatchHub a national grading system online for all competitive players in the country.More than 300,000 people play tennis in New Zealand, making it the country's second most popular adult participation sport. Tennis NZ is an advocate for all these tennis players too.
