Renewables & Environment - Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia
In Indonesia, more than 10% of children under the age of 5 die from diarrheal diseases caused by dirty drinking water. That's 410 children, or like one 757 Boeing Airbus crashing every single day.terra aims to get safe drinking water into the homes of the most vulnerable populations in Indonesia. We work with a network of local and international organizations that help us identify and deliver filters to families with the most need, and educate them on good WASH practices.Ceramic water filters have been proven for over 40 years in as many as 30 countries to significantly reduce waterborne diseases and be a cost-effective and culturally appropriate solution for making safe drinking water at the household level.Terra filters purify water from rivers, taps, streams, wells, lakes, and the rain. It is made of three main ingredients: clay, carbon, colloidal silver.
