Representing more than 3,300 decision makers in 418 cities and 38 states, the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers was created in 2000 when the North Texas Oil & Gas Association and the West Central Texas Oil & Gas Association—two of the oldest oil and gas associations in America—merged together. The Texas Alliance of Energy Producers is now the largest state oil and gas association in the nation. TAEP's purpose is to further the interests of the oil and gas industry by taking an active interest in matters of local, State and National significance to the domestic oil and gas industry; to advance the standards of the industry; to promote sound risk management techniques and practices; to foster confidence and good will between employers and employees and with the general public; and to collect and disseminate information of value.
