The Texas State Securities Board has been regulating the securities industry and protecting investors since 1957. The Agency registers securities, registers firms and individuals who sell securities or render investment advice, does compliance inspections of registered firms, and brings criminal, administrative, and civil actions for violations of the Texas Securities Act. The Agency's divisions are Enforcement, Registration, Inspections and Compliance, General Counsel, and Staff Services. The Agency also operates an Investor Education program.
