The Texas Wranglers serve as a Male Spirit Group at the University of Texas at Austin. Texas Wranglers affords students an opportunity to make lifelong friends from all walks of life; to become a student leader through community involvement; to broaden one's network throughout the student body; and to gain the strength of character, mind, and body to overcome any adversity. In 2017 of all 1,300 student organization that applied to the Swing Out Awards we were selected as the Best Service Organization and the Most Outstanding Organization for 2017. We also received the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award by completing roughly 6,000 hours of service in the 2016/17 school year. These awards represent the excellence and accomplishment our organization and it's members stand for despite maintaining an active membership of only about 80. Since 1996 we have raised $475,000 for Easter Seals Central Texas, our main philanthropy which serves to promote independence and create opportunities for people with disabilities to pursue their hopes and dreams. Our three pillars, scholarship, leadership, and athletic ability embody our values as an organization. Defined by a culture of academic success, many of our members and leaders excel in challenging majors and honors programs. Leadership is the most cherished attribute of the Texas Wranglers. Members take initiative as leaders in the community and work to empower those around them to fulfill their utmost potential. Wranglers are united in their passion for playing sports, improving their fitness, and most importantly taking on a challenge. The Wranglers do not limit their membership by race, creed, or financial ability; rather, we strive to bring out the best in anyone who accepts the challenge to become a Texas Wrangler.
