The Thalimer Observatory is a private observatory that's available for outreach to anyone interested in looking through a telescope and learning about the heavens.We're learning as we go in our observatory built in September of 2012. Though we have over 15 years of telescope experience, having a place to have the telescope set up all the time has definitely increased our productivity. For one, we can now observe the heavens all year round instead of just the summer! That's like opening up a whole new sky. Also, blocking the wind and having an isolated pier to mount the telescope on has been extremely helpful in taking beautiful astronomy photos.If you're in the Denver area and want a tour of the observatory or to be on our email list for star parties, feel free to contact us through any of our information. We love working with scouting organizations, home school programs, and others by exposing children to space science!
