The Thanks Mom & Dad Fund® honors parents, grandparents, and mentors by supporting programs and services for older adults and caregivers. More than 10,000 baby boomers reach retirement age each day and funding has not kept up with increase need for services to help older Americans. These funding gaps leave people choosing between food and medicine, living in unsafe homes, or working to help take care of grandchildren. Investing today in services helps older Americans stay healthy. Home modifications can help prevent a fall leading to hospitalization and rehabilitation. Home-delivered meals provide critical nutrition catered to each senior. Innovations in program delivery and services help increase efficiency and deliver more critical services to more people. Through ongoing fundraising and grantmaking, the Fund seeks to engage the public in support for such programs through greater awareness and promotion of the vital services provided by agencies serving older adults.Thanks Mom & Dad Fund is also committed to strengthening the aging network by hosting workshops for organizations serving older adults and forums to address the crisis facing the direct care workforce.
