The Abbas Project Details
The Abbas Project is an initiative of Ignitus Worldwide focused on empowering the students of Ngunyumu Primary in the Korogocho slum in Nairobi, Kenya. The Abbas Project is a preliminary model for the iLead21 program in a slum settlement. iLead 21 a project based learning program is used as a tool to teach the youth leadership and life skills. The Ngunyumu Primary School that is the beneficiary of the Abbas Project lacks the resources needed to create an empowering environment for their youth. Our goal with the Abbas Project is to provide the students at Ngunyuma Primary with opportunities to be leaders in their community through access to resources, leadership development, and civic engagement.
