The Activist Lab at the Boston University School of Public Health is a vehicle to practice real-world activism. Our goal is to educate, innovate, and advocate to improve the health of all residents, especially those who are overlooked and vulnerable. We complement our school's academic and research programs leveraging community engagement and partnerships to promote real, enduring change. We continue to identify other areas for direct action. For instance, we know that people should vote; so, we get out there and inform people how to register and where to vote. We know that people challenged with addictions and homelessness should be treated with dignity; so, we provide them with water on hot days and talk with them about their concerns.Yes, we are idealistic. And, we are also earnest, eager, and excited to train future leaders as well as make a difference in the world. Check out our website and learn about our work.
