The Affordable Housing Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, based in New Paltz, NY, providing energy services to not-for-profit and for-profit affordable housing providers to assist them in using energy more efficiently while providing savings and increased comfort to residents. Whenever possible, these choices are designed and financed to help create socially just and environmentally responsible communities. We pride ourselves in bringing a level of empathy and a commitment to service that can increase the range and effectiveness of energy programs, especially to financially challenged residents. The Affordable Housing Conservancy is working with the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal, under its Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), to increase the energy efficiency of multifamily affordable housing serving low income families. It is doing so with funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (often referred to as "stimulus" monies).
