Sports - Gahanna, Ohio, United States
The American Baseball League (ABL) is a nationwide state vs. state baseball league for elite amateur 16 and 17 year old players launching in 2019. Each state is a franchise just like an MLB franchise, with strong youth programs set up throughout each state, to act as a minor league "feeding system" into each state's 16/17 year old main team. The main team will be comprised of the Top (20) players in each state. Each state will have a team of their very best 20 players - playing other states (California vs. Minnesota, Texas vs. Ohio, Michigan vs. Arizona) in a regular 48-game regular season schedule, with a "playoff and world series type" system at the end of the season, proving which state will be the National Champions. All 48 states will have franchise owners, who will run and control their own franchises, everything from the price of a soda at the concession stand, to which players are recruited, called up, sent down, or shipped home.
