The American Chamber of Commerce for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean (AmCham BEC) is a non-profit organization aimed at the improvement of the business environment within Barbados and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) as well as with the United States, wider region and around the world. AmCham BEC also seeks to facilitate business relations between Member Jurisdictions and the United States of America. Member Jurisdictions include Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. AmCham BEC has the unique distinction of being the only multi-national American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in the world. AmCham BEC is accredited by the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean (AACCLA). AmCham BEC represents the 24th AmCham within AACCLA. There are currently over 115 AmChams in over 105 countries across the globe. For nearly a century, AmChams have been the most influential voice of U.S. business across the world. Acting in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the world's largest business federation, AmChams pursue business development and trade policy initiatives. AACCLA membership represents more than 20,000 companies and over 80% of U.S. investment in Latin America and the Caribbean.
