Welcome! The 2014 board of directors of the American Science and Technology Center is pleased to announce the launch of our latest creation! The unveiling of this will take place at a series of events including a Press Launch and Ribbon Cutting to be conducted at our new corporate offices at 3657 Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. The American Sci-Tech is designed to recapture the spirit of America and proactively elevate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Education to the level and importance of National Defense. And, since smarter kids are better prepared for the future, we plan to excite imaginations and make them "Future ready". In the next phase of this unique creation we will provide the tools to advance education including the creation of a National television series similar to Mr. Wizard and Bill Nye. This will be coupled with a Television/Web and Social Media Portal since they are among the current purveyors of our culture -- and to reach an international audience. ASTC will increase the economy of the Hudson Valley, NY region, attract tourism, boost our culture and support the education of our community's children with imaginative, hands and minds-on, high profile interactive scenarios and educational opportunities. We also desire to include a physical location that would enable the American Sci-Tech organization to advance its mission and serve as a place where the imagination and passions of the community can be furthered with respect to STEAM topics. VISION It has been said, "What you do for yourself dies with you; but what you do for others is immortal." We intend to make the American Science and Technology Center a world-class destination on everyone's list of places to visit. Our displays and programs will appeal to the innate curiosity that we all possess, through state-of-the-art technology and hands on activities that will bring science to life for all of our visitors.
