We are the creative minds that conjure the visual images that move you-in print, on the web, and in full motion. The ADCP is open to all creatives-designers, art directors, illustrators, web designers, videographers, animators and copywriters. As the world continues to change, and more and more visual disciplines become available to artists, the ADCP strives to bring them all together. Our goal is to explore how each one supports the other, and demonstrate how creative spirit can be expressed through many tools-from paintbrush to Photoshop, from computer code to camera. The ADCP board of directors is comprised of young, hungry, motivated professionals from all walks of the creative industry. Their goal is to foster collaboration and inspiration among existing creatives, elevate local talents and resources, and empower the next generation of creative professionals. We are always looking for new volunteers to join our ever growing committee. The Art Directors Club of Philadelphia was founded on Dec.11, 1924 as a chapter of The New York Art Directors Club. In 1931, The Philadelphia members voted to secede from The New York Club. There were breaks in the club during the Great Depression and World War II, but by the 1960's, the organization was a vital part of Philadelphia business. The club's first printed collection of creative work was published in 1963 as a record of the Club's 28thannual exhibition.
