The Art Sanctuary (TAS) is a charitable trust, registered in Bangalore. This year-old social venture was formed:1. To celebrate the artistic talents in young adults with intellectual challenges. For this, we curate their drawings and paintings, photography and short films, sculpture, clay work and jewelry in art shows. Performing arts like dance, music, modelling, and theatre are also promoted.2. To provide exclusive training in various art forms, to young adults with intellectual challenges. The training and skill building, provided at their pace in a conducive environment, along with an exclusive platform to showcase these skills, hones the inborn artistic abilities of young adults. This paves the way for their inclusion in society eventually. Every person feels the desire to be in an inclusive space surrounded by supportive people. The Art Sanctuary hopes that the skill sets and exposure provided, will result in inclusion of specially abled people in mainstream art. TAS provides certified courses from respectable, reputable institutions in India. These will be for the entire gamut of the art space and facilitate the gradual shift in society towards acceptance of these individuals.In short, The Art Sanctuary helps create this support system and provides vocational training to intellectually challenged adults so that they can be financially independent in society.
