The Arts Campaign is a grass-roots organization of volunteers dedicated to bringing the arts to children in our schools. By bridging community sponsors and local schools, we are enriching the lives of children who otherwise might not be exposed to the performing arts.The lack of funding for arts education in Florida is causing a severe deficit in our children's education. This campaign is about bringing the performing arts into schools for children to experience. With the help of community sponsors and volunteers, The Arts Campaign is able to bring performing arts classes back into the school, or after-school program, giving students the opportunity to reach their full potential. Students who have the arts in their lives rank the highest in academic achievement, school attendance, and community service. Children who have the arts in their lives have less disciplinary issues, more self-confidence, and become better communicators. Singing and acting allow students to utilize reading skills in practical and fun ways, which can boost inference and comprehension skills on standardize tests. Dancing brings movement and activity into our children's sedentary lifestyle. The benefits of exposure to the arts is far-reaching. We cannot allow our children to miss out!
