Having achieved this through a computer network, the network was configured to create a virtual law office that complemented his physical office.The lawyer engaged a management specialist to assist him with responding to a demand for additional staff, which emerged from the ensuing growth of his law practice.The demand exposed new challenges; that is, acquiring staff from a limited pool of qualified applicants, training them, supervising them, and paying the high cost of labour. The solution was to standardize tasks, automate the work flow, and establish a back-office that is responsible for its own training and supervising of staff. A back-office was established in India to take advantage of its lower cost of labour and the larger pool of qualified applicants. The success of this modernization strategy for the lawyer's office encouraged him in offering this system to other lawyers.
