The Atlantic City Sewerage Company (ACSC) company operates a wastewater collection system serving approximately 7,600 customers in its franchised area of Atlantic City. ACSC was founded on December 28, 1888 for the purpose of laying, operating and improving a sanitary system for the City. The sanitary sewer system consists of approximately 100 miles of sewers and seven pump stations with a combined capacity of over 40 million gallons a day. ACSC conveys its sewerage to the Atlantic County Utilities Authority treatment plant and is the largest of the fourteen community participants of this treatment system.
