The Attachment Place, LLC (TAP) was founded to provide help and support for pre-teens, teens, and young adults who have experienced early childhood trauma. Complex trauma (developmental trauma disorder-DTD) deteriorates trust and affects the child's ability to form healthy attachments. We help children with difficulty trusting enter into safe, loving relationships, which change behaviors. When someone feels worthy of love and respect, they learn to have healthy, reciprocal relationships. They become productive, contributing family members. We provide short and long-term therapeutic respite, as well as parent coaching and shadowing, all in a farm setting. This environment is perfect to facilitate healing the trauma that keeps the wall up between you and your child. We also specialize in working with individuals affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and their families. TAP serves clients throughout the United States.
