Our mission is simple and complicated at the same time. No more wasted food! The ByHP gathers and distributes food that would otherwise be wasted. Primarily fresh fruits and vegetables that would would have gone to waste are distributed to families in need. From the backyards, backfields and even backrooms come the modern day manna from heaven.No more wasted food! As we delve into this challenge we see that it is enormous. From home owners that are too busy to harvest the fruit in their own backyards to warehouses that turn away truckloads of food because of paperwork mistakes. These are all blessings from heaven to be claimed.In this, our first year (2009), The ByHP gathered and distributed over 50,000 lbs. of food.
