Every year thousands of children go missing. Their profiles fade from the news and leads dry up. When the public stops looking, the chance of recovering a missing child decreases substantially. Dennis Bair, a former minor league pitcher with the Chicago Cubs, spent many years in baseball stadiums. After watching a documentary of a family's effort to spread the word about their missing daughter, his view from the mound changed. He saw an opportunity for sports fans to join the search. In 2010, Bair founded the BairFind Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit with the mission of finding missing children using the power of sports marketing to reach millions of people in a family-friendly environment. In partnership with Minor League Baseball, BairFind places photos of hundreds of our nation's missing kids in front of literally tens of millions of Americans in stadiums and arenas across the country at no cost to the families. Every glance at one of these photos is another opportunity for a child to be reunited with his or her family.
