Food & Beverages - Berry, New South Wales, Australia
Our Co-operative, The Berry Rural Co-operative Society Limited, started in 1911 after a band of dairy farmers purchased the creamery from David Berry. We have operated from Old Creamery Lane, originally in the Treat Factory building since 1895. Originally a butter manufacturer exporting butter to England before moving into the fresh milk market we have continually developed over the years. The South Coast Dairy brand was established in 2005. After having our milk processed by a 3rd party for many years whilst we grew our brand along the South Coast, we invested over $2.5million into our own milk processing facility, which we opened in May 2016, here in Old Creamery Lane, Berry.A driving force behind South Coast Dairy venture is to supply the freshest, highest quality milk and dairy products to the local market. Our dairy farm suppliers have carefully selected their herds, nurturing their health and well being on arguably some of the richest pastures to be found anywhere in Australia. South Coast Dairy is committed to provide a sustainable farm gate return to our dairy farm suppliers. South Coast Dairy is recipient of many Champion, Gold and Silver Award at the Royal Sydney Show, winners at Dairy Industry Association Australia NSW State level and Australian Grand Dairy Awards competitions over the yearsOur current range of premium products includes: Milk – Full Cream, Non-Homogenised, Lite & Skim Cream & Flavoured milkWe are currently developing handcrafted churned butter, with future development of yoghurt, sour cream and other fresh dairy products
