The Black Burdell is a 5013(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to support, promote, and cultivate black-owned businesses. We aim to provide existing and aspiring entrepreneurs access to knowledge, resources, and networks in an effort to efficiently build black businesses in our communities. We SUPPORT existing and aspiring entrepreneurs. Through our events and workshops we will build better entrepreneurs by addressing key topics that are essential to the formation of a strong business. We PROMOTE the importance of entrepreneurialism. Through programming we will educate our community on the necessity of creating, sustaining, and supporting our black-owned businesses. We CULTIVATE entrepreneurs through scholarship. Through the Cultivating Entrepreneurs Scholarship a one-time $1,000 educational scholarship will be awarded to an exisiting or aspiring entrepreneur at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Applicants will be judged on an online application, Black Burdell business plan, and a video pitch presentation.
