The Blazer strives to achieve the highest standards of journalism and in doing so, we hope to create an informed, thoughtful community, open to new ideas and opinions while entertaining along the way. Our staff, made up entirely of Flushing High School students, will do our best to balance topics and views covered to interest and accurately represent our readers. Libel, invasion of privacy, disruption of the educational process, plagiarism, and misinformation will be avoided at all costs due to the respect we have for the community and basic journalistic ethics.Any Staff Editorials will be the opinion of The Blazer's Editorial Board. We speak for ourselves only and do not necessarily share the views of Flushing Community Schools, Flushing High School, faculty, or the general student body.
