The Block Gives Back is a Charity Organization started by a group of High School friends. We have all spent our childhood together on "the Block" - a street where each person in philly has lived and shared memories. It's home, it's where the love is, it's where we grew up. As we transitioned into adulthood we became aware of the strife and strain on the people of this city— just scraping to get by. Collectively, we decided that we couldn't simply sit and hope for a change as our city fell apart. Our team of friends— Philadelphia natives, took initiative to be a part of the recovery and formed our own community aid organization to give back to our city one block at a time, through as many avenues as possible. Whether it's by spreading awareness, holding fundraisers, feeding the homeless, or cleaning residential streets, The Block Gives back.
