Apparel & Fashion - Detroit, Michigan, United States
The Blonde Collective (aka Blonde.) is the brainchild of Detroiter Brad Hicks, launched in 2009. The label began in response to the neon, over-drawn t-shirt design trends that just didn't sit right with Brad.Embodying a more minimalist approach, "Be Classic" was the first run of production. These five designs would showcase the Blonde logo, the brands simple style, and the Metro Detroit area itself. The Blonde logo tee even found its way to the stage of the 2009 American Music Awards. The head logo for The Blonde Collective is designed for ambiguity. It represents any race, sex, or level of beauty and is clear of judgment. "We wanted to push the idea that Blonde is here for everyone, to make it whatever they see fit, much how we believe Detroit's residents will build the city back to what they see fit, what they need".
