THE BURGER JOINT.mx (stylized as TBJMX) is an upscale full-service Mexican-American restaurant based in Aguascalientes Mexico. The company opened its first pilot restaurant during Feria Nacional de San Marcos Aguascalientes in 2012, and has since opened one additional location in the northern area of Aguascalientes. The restaurant has been well received by food critics as well as locals; noted for its ambiance and menu selections. It has been credited with increasing competition among hamburger restaurants in Aguascalientes.Carlos Rasgado conceived the concept, as he wanted to expand the definition of a what he thought a hamburger could be. He saw an opportunity in the growth of hamburger eateries in Aguascalientes, yet disliked their approaches thinking it would hinder innovation—being bound to a traditional diner-style burger.The menu includes 6 different hamburger variations. Side orders include beer battered onion rings, French fries and Orchard Salad, among others. Several specialty milkshakes are offered, including the Nutella, which has become a must have for new guests and regulars alike.
