The Camelot Pub is located in the quaint village of South Cadbury in the beautiful Somerset Countryside. The pub sits below Cadbury Castle, a historic Iron Age hill fort that is a rumoured site of King Arthur's Camelot and his Knights of the Round Table! The Camelot Pub is also situated on the Leland Trail; a 28 mile footpath which follows the footsteps of John Leland as he traversed the traditional lowland landscapes of South Somerset sometime between 1535 and 1543. John Leland worked for King Henry VIII as keeper of the royal libraries. The pub changed ownership back at the end of 2013 and Sonia and the team are excited to be adding another chapter to the history of this wonderful old pub. They are looking forward to helping it become the vibrant hub of the community once again. A Country Pub with style, The Camelot offers a range of great, local real ales, varied wine list, fresh, seasonal food and a friendly atmosphere enjoyed by both locals and those from further afield. We look forward to continuing this trend, and to build upon it as time progresses. The Camelot has a cosy restaurant and bar area where you will always find our fire blazing in the colder months. There is also a good sized beer garden to enjoy the warmer months. We are proud to have a close association with local producers and suppliers and offer a varied food menu that offers anything from light bites such as sandwiches and baguettes, to a 3 course meal. We look forward to meeting you whether you simply fancy a beer, are stopping for lunch on your way up or down the A303, or want a cup of tea after walking up the historic hill fort of Cadbury Castle.
