The Circle Project Inc. is a not-for-profit music association with a particular emphasises and commitment to working with youth. Our main income stream relies heavily on funding from corporate sponsorship and government grants. It is with this assistance that the association is able to provide cost effective recording facilities, mentoring, workshops and programs to its' members which is the main purpose of the organisation.In today's technology driven, digital, world we need to continue to create new opportunities which support young artists and musicians on a professional and competitive level. There are a growing amount of musicians who simply cannot afford to record professionally and they do not possess the know how to successfully market their product. This combined with the fact that many talented artists are leaving our shores to find success overseas; one ponders the question - why are we losing so much Australian talent to countries such as the UK and the US?It is important to note the role that music plays in the lives of young people and how music can empower and encourage them to build their self esteem. This is especially relevant when they are struggling with challenging social issues, have come from disadvantaged backgrounds and/or fractured family units.
