Real Estate - , Illinois, United States
Cloverleaf acquires, syndicates, and manages real estate properties. We have broad experience with a variety of asset types, including a special focus on "value-add" investments. Our present holdings include retail/service and medical properties. Michael Basofin founded Cloverleaf in 1982 after several years of practicing real estate and general business law. Cloverleaf and Michael's track record and reputation are well-regarded in the real estate community. With the company now generational, the foundations and principles on which Michael established and grew Cloverleaf remain in effect. Michael is a graduate of Miami University in Ohio and Loyola University School of Law in Chicago. Jonathan Basofin began working with Cloverleaf in 2009. Before becoming a licensed attorney, Jonathan spent several years working for two national law firms as a real estate and corporate paralegal, while playing the drums in and helping manage the business of a professional recording and touring band. Jonathan's diverse background, loyalty to Cloverleaf's historical principles, and commitment to its future are assets to the company and its investors. Jonathan is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta and Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago. All of Cloverleaf's capital comes from private investors, including a significant investment by the company's ownership in all projects, in the same class as all other investors. Since its inception, Cloverleaf has acquired over 70 properties, the vast majority of which have been sold. The result of those completed investments can be found at www.cleafgroup.com. Cloverleaf manages only its own properties and takes a hands-on approach to leasing and management.
