TRADITIONAL MUSKOKA RESORT: Clyffe House is unique. As Barbara Boyer says in her book, Muskoka's Grand Hotels, "Clyffe House has lasted a century...It continues to uphold the traditions handed down by three generations." My great grandfather, James Jenner, acquired the land under the Land Grant Act of 1869. He began accepting guests when he was still farming. His son, Robert Jenner, built new additions, a boat house and a dance hall. His daughters, Catherine and Doris, ran the resort for 30 years. Today, these buildings are updated, fully- equipped cottages and apartments with electric heat, modern appliances and full washroom facilities. Most units have dishwashers; some have satellite TV: all have microwaves and gas BBQs. In the spring and autumn, we often have family reunions. Sometimes we have business, team-building retreats. The "Main Lodge Apartment" and the "Dining Room Apartment" have very large living room so that up to 60 people can eat together, meet together and celebrate.Clyffe House offers recreation. We have a tennis court, canoes, windsurfers, pedalboats, and electric motor boats. Clyffe House is close to summer theatre, movies, dancing, restaurants, night clubs, horseback riding, arts & crafts, antiques, shopping and ten golf courses. There is no additional charge for:electric fishing boats; canoes; kayaks; pedalboats; windsurfer.Firewood; kindling; propane; telephones; tennis racquets & balls; David Scottowner/manager
