The Coney Island Anti-Violence Collaborative (CIAVC) is a coalition of Coney Island residents, non-profit organizations, businesses, schools, elected officials, and other stakeholders who have come together to address the issue of gun violence in our community.The CIAVC holds general body meetings once per month to gather ideas from the community, develop plans for collective action, and share information from elected officials, the local precinct, and organizations serving the community under the Mayor's initiative to Reduce Gun Violence. Our meetings are open to the public and all are welcome.
