'The Contrarian' is a magazine published by the Department of Economics, Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. A contrarian investor is one who goes against the convention and charts a path for them-self. The Contrarian believes in opposing silence and advocates voicing opinions even if it challenges established beliefs. This is an attempt to go contrary to the image of Economics being a ‘dismal science' wherein we believe it is an endeavour necessary for any society that wants to grow. (The college does not hold any responsibility for the content published. The purpose of the blogs is solely academic. The Contrarian does not intend to publicise any ideology. Credits are given wherever due as each member aspires to maintain honesty in their work.)
