Mental Healthcare - Omaha, NE, US
Our therapists provide families who have been affected by attachment-trauma a safe, warm, family-centered space to grow and work through issues related to developmental trauma. The Cord's founders, Cathy Schweitzer and Stefanie Armstrong, along with Debra Wesselmann founded the Attachment and Trauma Center of Nebraska and created the Integrative Attachment Trauma Protocol (IATP-C). This protocol, along with other modalities that focus on neurobiology, trauma, and attachment theory inform our treatment. Our areas of focus include adoption, attachment, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and trauma. We believe collaboration with parents is essential for whole family healing. Parents are a vital part of treatment for children and adolescents who are suffering. The Cord believes that parents' therapeutic presence and participation in sessions provides the deep, emotional connection children and adolescents need for healing.
