The Council for Persons with Disabilities exists to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities by promoting equality, opportunity, and inclusion in the Peterborough/Nogojiwanong region so that everyone can contribute and thrive. Our Programs:Active Together: Works to increase participation rates and opportunities in sport and recreation for people living with disabilities in Peterborough City and County. Time in My Shoes (TIMS): an accessibility program, which allows you to understand and feel what people experience as they navigate their day-to-day lives through our community. The program is led by individuals with diverse abilities who provide interactive learning, discussions, and experiential activities to allow you to see first-hand the power of removing barriers and increasing access for all.
