The Croma Foundry is a standalone biological platform for integrated rapid vaccine manufacturing and engineering. We strive to solve the problems posed by the unavailability of a universal platform and set of protocols to develop cost-effective and highly efficient VLP vaccines against present and emerging pathogens. As a team of biotechnologists, engineers, researchers, and developers, we are committed to building the future of platform-based vaccine technologies.Virus-Like Particles (VLPs) are nanoparticles that closely resemble viruses, but are not infectious. They play a great role in prophylactic medicine as immunity inducing agents and are known to be extremely effective by providing long-term immunity. However, VLPs are not widely available for a range of pathogenic diseases due to high production costs and complexities in manufacturing processes. We at The Croma Foundry aim to reduce the complexity and cost of VLP production using our next-gen VLP production platform, while simultaneously reducing production time and increasing availability.Our VLP production platform is unique and built based on the idea that the key components that differentiate one virus from another are the surface proteins. This enables versatility in VLP production and a chance to enhance products of the vaccine industry.VLPs have a number of uses and we aim to provide customized and personalized products for usage in therapeutics, prophylactic systems, and diagnostics.
