VISION: At The Curiosity Club, we want to change the way children learn in India, to make it more hands-on, experiential, meaningful, and most importantly, fun._________The Curiosity Club (TCC) is a maker space designed for young children to express their creativity and at the same time to explore concepts of things that they observe in their day-to-day life. Children are natural makers, and Early Childhood teachers have been providing opportunities to CREATE, ENGINEER & FABRICATE even before it was termed a ‘Makerspace'. What it really does is elevate the activity to another level, integrating art and craft activities with technology and other supportive tools and materials such as LEGO for ‘hands-on' making. We live in a world that has become more and more technology driven and it is imperative that we embrace technology prudently and in the right spirit, to supplement the learning process.The TCC maker space isn't just about playing; it's about playing to create. The toys we provide are all designed keeping learning in mind, but without forgetting the FUN element. When children are having fun, learning becomes a by-product. At TCC, children translate abstract learning's into concrete builds, they recreate real life objects with materials they are comfortable with, and most importantly – they innovate! What we do at TCC is allow more freedom and creativity there, provide more tools, bring technology in to make it relevant to the world we live in, and MOST IMPORTANTLY give them the chance to make mistakes while creating. We believe, it is not the outcome that matters, but the process that will make our children future ready.We have after-school activities for children across several locations in Mumbai. Our programs are designed to cater to children between the ages of 3 to 10 years. TCC also provides solutions to schools so that maker spaces can become part of the curriculum. With specially designed curriculum that is integrated with various education boards, and teacher training programs, schools can bring maker programs to their children.
