Currently, the Danish Afghanistan Committee is committed to improving knowledge of diabetes and to increase the local capacity of preventing this illness. The work shall be undertaken at the General Hospital in Herat, supported by the World Diabetes Foundation. DAC has previously rendered help to this Hospital in various ways.At the same time, DAC is involved in strengthening the knowledge of citizen's rights in relation to public health service for the inhabitants of the Injil District. This endeavor is carried out in cooperation with the Norwegian Project Office/Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan (NPO/RRAA) and is supported by CISU.
