E-learning - Boston, Massachusetts, United States
The Dawa Investment Network, Inc. is a non-profit membership organization founded to encourage financial literacy among Black women physicians across the United States. Through strategic collaborations and partnerships, the Network provides a robust curriculum that spans a diverse set of investment topics, including public and private company investing. Members who are accredited investors are invited to participate in Dawa Angels, our angel investing group. Dawa Angels prioritizes high-growth biomedical companies and companies that are led by Black women. Additionally, Network members have the opportunity to glean knowledge from experiential learning through our the Dawa Investment Club, which is divided into two chapters: Moja, our first, and Mbili, our second chapter. Upon joining the Investment Club, Network members become partners who select, evaluate and investment in public companies on a quarterly basis. During each quarterly partnership meeting, chapter partners educate each other by reviewing self-generated stock selection reports, industry reports, quarterly reviews on the state of the US economy, reviews of their existing portfolios and any other financial literacy topics of their choosing.
