The Department of Doing entered limited trading after the successful 63 million USD Athena Health acquisition of Praxify in 2017. At Praxify I was hired through the Department of Doing to head design for the new product line that was the subject of the acquisition. The Department of Doing now chiefly contracts to Athena Health. A year or so earlier The Department of Doing sold the rights to its machine learning based patient engagement IP in 2015 to Holis Health.The Department of Doing is a rapid prototyping, product design and investment company specialising in the design of world leading health, agriculture, learning management and AI based products. I started the business after a long tenure in product management, design and sales which made it especially clear to me how powerful rapid prototyping could be for high growth businesses. Clients in NZ, India and the US. Clients include a number of exciting start-ups, Stanford Medical School, Microsoft Ventures and an Apple MVP partner.
