Just a years ago, I was attempting to start my own talent agency. I quickly found out that starting a business was much harder and more complicated than I ever imagined. Learning all the "ins" and "outs" can be very daunting, because there is no one that really wants to help you succeed. No one was interested in my success. They were more interested in making money off of me.The first problem I ran into was the expense of starting a business. One of the biggest expenses was advertising and getting customers. I reached out to different media outlets in order to take a hard look at my options. I quickly found out that most marketing agencies would rather work with established clients. You know; the seven figures type. Since I was a startup this left me in the cold. Marketing agencies had little interest in helping smaller companies to succeed. There prices were far out of reach for my startup business. Without a good advertising budget, I found myself in a predicament that almost left me broke. After months of trying to promote my business, I quickly fail and almost gave up.The entrepreneurial spirit just kept nudging at me. One night, I had a bright idea. The bright idea was to start my own marketing agency. This agency would serve the little guy. I saw that many agencies were serving the big fish in the industry and that no one was serving the little guy. From that ingenious idea came the birth of Digital Marketing Services.Digital Marketing Services is the brainchild of me, Gary Crenshaw and my partner, Jamie Stone. After partnering up with Jamie Stone, we started researching various avenues to help smaller companies to grow their business.Our focus was to create a media and advertising platform that startups could grow upon. We would like to use our knowledge and experience to help you grow your business. We want to be your one-stop-shop agency.
