We will do this through:• A interactive, interview-style blog, TakeBackYourMarriage.com, where interpersonally savvy people can find smart and realistic perspectives on marriage today• A training place for lay Marital First Responders who will learn to better support and some challenge married friends and family members who confide in them• A directory of advanced Marriage Counseling Specialists that will link couples in trouble with therapists who can help them• A professional development resource for therapists, pastors, family lawyers, and students to improve their skills in helping couples and making their voices heard in their larger communities. • A website where today's psychologically minded engaged couples can learn about the family dynamics of wedding planning and find counselors who "get" what today's engage couples face.Co-founders are Bill Doherty, Ph.D., an internationally recognized expert in couples and families. He is a professor, researcher, consultant, author, and sought after speaker. Elizabeth Doherty Thomas, MS, is the second generation Doherty, pursing licensure in marriage and family therapy while being a consultant and therapy marketer.
