The downUP wants to do something different with communications news. Instead of covering public announcements at face-value in a race to be first, The DownUp wants to take a slower, more careful approach: dig through the details and highlight and dissect certain pieces of information.This project started as a way for me, Ahmad Hathout, to publish communications news that I couldn't write for other publications. It will feature stories from the lobby files, court records, freedom of and access to information documents, and every source of data to make more sense of the telecommunications industry.
